12:1 [hgb]  以 法 莲 吃 风 ， 且 追 赶 东 风 。 时 常 增 添 虚 谎 和 强 暴 。 与 亚 述 立 约 ， 把 油 送 到 埃 及 。 
    [kjv]  Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.
    [bbe]  Ephraim's food is the wind, and he goes after the east wind: deceit and destruction are increasing day by day; they make an agreement with Assyria, and take oil into Egypt.
12:2 [hgb]  耶 和 华 与 犹 大 争 辩 ， 必 照 雅 各 所 行 的 惩 罚 他 ， 按 他 所 做 的 报 应 他 。 
    [kjv]  The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.
    [bbe]  The Lord has a cause against Judah, and will give punishment to Jacob for his ways; he will give him the reward of his acts.
12:3 [hgb]  他 在 腹 中 抓 住 哥 哥 的 脚 跟 ， 壮 年 的 时 候 与 神 较 力 。 
    [kjv]  He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God:
    [bbe]  In the body of his mother he took his brother by the foot, and in his strength he was fighting with God;
12:4 [hgb]  与 天 使 较 力 ， 并 且 得 胜 ， 哭 泣 恳 求 ， 在 伯 特 利 遇 见 耶 和 华 。 耶 和 华 万 军 之 神 在 那 里 晓 谕 我 们 以 色 列 人 ， 耶 和 华 是 他 可 记 念 的 名 。 
    [kjv]  Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spake with us;
    [bbe]  He had a fight with the angel and overcame him; he made request for grace to him with weeping; he came face to face with him in Beth-el and there his words came to him;
12:5 [hgb]  
    [kjv]  Even the LORD God of hosts; the LORD is his memorial.
    [bbe]  Even the Lord, the God of armies; the Lord is his name.
12:6 [hgb]  所 以 你 当 归 向 你 的 神 ， 谨 守 仁 爱 ， 公 平 ， 常 常 等 候 你 的 神 。 
    [kjv]  Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment, and wait on thy God continually.
    [bbe]  So then, come back to your God; keep mercy and right, and be waiting at all times on your God.
12:7 [hgb]  以 法 莲 是 商 人 ， 手 里 有 诡 诈 的 天 平 ， 爱 行 欺 骗 。 
    [kjv]  He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress.
    [bbe]  As for Canaan, the scales of deceit are in his hands; he takes pleasure in twisted ways.
12:8 [hgb]  以 法 莲 说 ， 我 果 然 成 了 富 足 ， 得 了 财 宝 ， 我 所 劳 碌 得 来 的 ， 人 必 不 见 有 什 么 不 义 ， 可 算 为 罪 的 。
