40:1 [hgb]  你 们 的 神 说 ， 你 们 要 安 慰 ， 安 慰 我 的 百 姓 。
    [kjv]  Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
    [bbe]  Give comfort, give comfort, to my people, says your God.
40:2 [hgb]  要 对 耶 路 撒 冷 说 安 慰 的 话 ， 又 向 他 宣 告 说 ， 他 争 战 的 日 子 已 满 了 ， 他 的 罪 孽 赦 免 了 ， 他 为 自 己 的 一 切 罪 ， 从 耶 和 华 手 中 加 倍 受 罚 。
    [kjv]  Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins.
    [bbe]  Say kind words to the heart of Jerusalem, crying out to her that her time of trouble is ended, that her punishment is complete; that she has been rewarded by the Lord's hand twice over for all her sins.
40:3 [hgb]  有 人 声 喊 着 说 ， 在 旷 野 预 备 耶 和 华 的 路 ， （ 或 作 在 旷 野 有 人 声 喊 着 说 ， 当 预 备 耶 和 华 的 路 ） ， 在 沙 漠 地 修 平 我 们 神 的 道 。
    [kjv]  The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
    [bbe]  A voice of one crying, Make ready in the waste land the way of the Lord, make level in the lowland a highway for our God.
40:4 [hgb]  一 切 山 洼 都 要 填 满 ， 大 小 山 冈 都 要 削 平 ， 高 高 低 低 的 要 改 为 平 坦 ， 崎 崎 岖 岖 的 必 成 为 平 原 。
    [kjv]  Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
    [bbe]  Let every valley be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low, and let the rough places become level, and the hilltops become a valley,
40:5 [hgb]  耶 和 华 的 荣 耀 必 然 显 现 ， 凡 有 血 气 的 ， 必 一 同 看 见 ， 因 为 这 是 耶 和 华 亲 口 说 的 。
    [kjv]  And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
    [bbe]  And the glory of the Lord will be made clear, and all flesh will see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has said it.
40:6 [hgb]  有 人 声 说 ， 你 喊 叫 吧 。 有 一 个 说 ， 我 喊 叫 什 么 呢 ？ 说 ， 凡 有 血 气 的 ， 尽 都 如 草 ， 他 的 美 容 ， 都 像 野 地 的 花 。
    [kjv]  The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
    [bbe]  A voice of one saying, Give a cry! And I said, What is my cry to be? All flesh is grass, and all its strength like the flower of the field.
40:7 [hgb]  草 必 枯 干 ， 花 必 凋 残 ， 因 为 耶 和 华 的 气 吹 在 其 上 。 百 姓 诚 然 是 草 。
    [kjv]  The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.
    [bbe]  The grass becomes dry, the flower is dead; because the breath of the Lord goes over it: truly the people is grass.
40:8 [hgb]  草 必 枯 干 ， 花 必 凋 残 ， 惟 有 我 们 神 的 话 ， 必 永 远 立 定 。
    [kjv]  The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
    [bbe]  The grass is dry, the flower is dead; but the word of our God is eternal.
40:9 [hgb]  报 好 信 息 给 锡 安 的 阿 ， 你 要 登 高 山 。 报 好 信 息 给 耶 路 撒 冷 的 阿 ， 你 要 极 力 扬 声 。 扬 声 不 要 惧 怕 ， 对 犹 大 的 城 邑 说 ， 看 哪 ， 你 们 的 神 。
    [kjv]  O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!
    [bbe]  You who give good news to Zion, get up into the high mountain; you who give good news to Jerusalem, let your voice be strong; let it be sounding without fear; say to the towns of Judah, See, your God!
40:10 [hgb]  主 耶 和 华 必 像 大 能 者 临 到 ， 他 的 膀 臂 必 为 他 掌 权 。 他 的 赏 赐 在 他 那 里 ， 他 的 报 应 在 他 面 前 。
    [kjv]  Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
    [bbe]  See, the Lord God will come as a strong one, ruling in power: see, those made free by him are with him, and those whom he has made safe go before him.
40:11 [hgb]  他 必 像 牧 人 牧 养 自 己 的 羊 群 ， 用 膀 臂 聚 集 羊 羔 抱 在 怀 中 ， 慢 慢 引 导 那 乳 养 小 羊 的 。
    [kjv]  He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
    [bbe]  He will give food to his flock like a keeper of sheep; with his arm he will get it together, and will take up the lambs on his breast, gently guiding those which are with young.
40:12 [hgb]  谁 曾 用 手 心 量 诸 水 ， 用 手 虎 口 量 苍 天 ， 用 升 斗 盛 大 地 的 尘 土 ， 用 秤 称 山 岭 ， 用 天 平 平 岗 陵 呢 ？
    [kjv]  Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
    [bbe]  In the hollow of whose hand have the waters been measured? and who is able to take the heavens in his stretched-out fingers? who has got together the dust of the earth in a measure? who has taken the weight of the mountains, or put the hills into the scales?
40:13 [hgb]  谁 曾 测 度 耶 和 华 的 心 （ 或 作 谁 曾 指 示 耶 和 华 的 灵 ） ， 或 作 他 的 谋 士 指 教 他 呢 ？
    [kjv]  Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him?
    [bbe]  By whom has the spirit of the Lord been guided, or who has been his teacher?
40:14 [hgb]  他 与 谁 商 议 ， 谁 教 导 他 ， 谁 将 公 平 的 路 指 示 他 ， 又 将 知 识 教 训 他 ， 将 通 达 的 道 指 教 他 呢 ？
    [kjv]  With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?
    [bbe]  Who gave him suggestions, and made clear to him the right way? who gave him knowledge, guiding him in the way of wisdom?
40:15 [hgb]  看 哪 ， 万 民 都 像 水 桶 的 一 滴 ， 又 算 如 天 平 上 的 微 尘 。 他 举 起 众 海 岛 ， 好 像 极 微 之 物 。
    [kjv]  Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.
    [bbe]  See, the nations are to him like a drop hanging from a bucket, and like the small dust in the scales: he takes up the islands like small dust.
