18:1 [hgb]  耶 和 华 的 话 又 临 到 我 说 ，
    [kjv]  The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying,
    [bbe]  The word of the Lord came to me again, saying,
18:2 [hgb]  你 们 在 以 色 列 地 怎 么 用 这 俗 语 说 父 亲 吃 了 酸 葡 萄 ， 儿 子 的 牙 酸 倒 了 呢 ？
    [kjv]  What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge?
    [bbe]  Why do you make use of this saying about the land of Israel, The fathers have been tasting bitter grapes and the children's teeth are on edge?
18:3 [hgb]  主 耶 和 华 说 ， 我 指 着 我 的 永 生 起 誓 ， 你 们 在 以 色 列 中 ， 必 不 再 有 用 这 俗 语 的 因 由 。
    [kjv]  As I live, saith the Lord GOD, ye shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel.
    [bbe]  By my life, says the Lord, you will no longer have this saying in Israel.
18:4 [hgb]  看 哪 ， 世 人 都 是 属 我 的 。 为 父 的 怎 样 属 我 ， 为 子 的 也 照 样 属 我 。 犯 罪 的 ， 他 必 死 亡 。
    [kjv]  Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
    [bbe]  See, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so the soul of the son is mine: death will be the fate of the sinner's soul.
18:5 [hgb]  人 若 是 公 义 ， 且 行 正 直 与 合 理 的 事 ，
    [kjv]  But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right,
    [bbe]  But if a man is upright, living rightly and doing righteousness,
18:6 [hgb]  未 曾 在 山 上 吃 过 祭 偶 像 之 物 ， 未 曾 仰 望 以 色 列 家 的 偶 像 ， 未 曾 玷 污 邻 舍 的 妻 ， 未 曾 在 妇 人 的 经 期 内 亲 近 她 ，
    [kjv]  And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour's wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman,
    [bbe]  And has not taken flesh with the blood for food, or given worship to the images of the children of Israel; if he has not had connection with his neighbour's wife, or come near to a woman at the time when she is unclean;
18:7 [hgb]  未 曾 亏 负 人 ， 乃 将 欠 债 之 人 的 当 头 还 给 他 。 未 曾 抢 夺 人 的 物 件 ， 却 将 食 物 给 饥 饿 的 人 吃 ， 将 衣 服 给 赤 身 的 人 穿 。
    [kjv]  And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment;
    [bbe]  And has done no wrong to any, but has given back to the debtor what is his, and has taken no one's goods by force, and has given food to him who was in need of it, and clothing to him who was without it;
18:8 [hgb]  未 曾 向 借 钱 的 弟 兄 取 利 ， 也 未 曾 向 借 粮 的 弟 兄 多 要 ， 缩 手 不 作 罪 孽 ， 在 两 人 之 间 ， 按 至 理 判 断 。
    [kjv]  He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man,
    [bbe]  And has not given his money out at interest or taken great profits, and, turning his hand from evil-doing, has kept faith between man and man,
18:9 [hgb]  遵 行 我 的 律 例 ， 谨 守 我 的 典 章 ， 按 诚 实 行 事 这 人 是 公 义 的 ， 必 定 存 活 。 这 是 主 耶 和 华 说 的 。
    [kjv]  Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord GOD.
    [bbe]  And has been guided by my rules and has kept my laws and done them: he is upright, life will certainly be his, says the Lord.
18:10 [hgb]  他 若 生 一 个 儿 子 ， 作 强 盗 ， 是 流 人 血 的 ， 不 行 以 上 所 说 之 善 ， 反 行 其 中 之 恶 ， 乃 在 山 上 吃 过 祭 偶 像 之 物 ， 并 玷 污 邻 舍 的 妻 ，
    [kjv]  If he beget a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that doeth the like to any one of these things,
    [bbe]  If he has a son who is a thief, a taker of life, who does any of these things,
18:11 [hgb]  
    [kjv]  And that doeth not any of those duties, but even hath eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour's wife,
    [bbe]  Who has taken flesh with the blood as food, and has had connection with his neighbour's wife,
18:12 [hgb]  亏 负 困 苦 和 穷 乏 的 人 ， 抢 夺 人 的 物 ， 未 曾 将 当 头 还 给 人 ， 仰 望 偶 像 ， 并 行 可 憎 的 事 ，
    [kjv]  Hath oppressed the poor and needy, hath spoiled by violence, hath not restored the pledge, and hath lifted up his eyes to the idols, hath committed abomination,
    [bbe]  Has done wrong to the poor and to him who is in need, and taken property by force, and has not given back to one in his debt what is his, and has given worship to images and has done disgusting things,
18:13 [hgb]  向 借 钱 的 弟 兄 取 利 ， 向 借 粮 的 弟 兄 多 要 这 人 岂 能 存 活 呢 ？ 他 必 不 能 存 活 。 他 行 这 一 切 可 憎 的 事 ， 必 要 死 亡 ， 他 的 罪 必 归 到 他 身 上 （ 罪 原 文 作 血 ） 。
    [kjv]  Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.
    [bbe]  And has given out his money at interest and taken great profits: he will certainly not go on living: he has done all these disgusting things: death will certainly be his fate; his blood will be on him.
18:14 [hgb]  他 若 生 一 个 儿 子 ， 见 父 亲 所 犯 的 一 切 罪 便 惧 怕 （ 有 古 卷 作 思 量 ） ， 不 照 样 去 作 。
    [kjv]  Now, lo, if he beget a son, that seeth all his father's sins which he hath done, and considereth, and doeth not such like,
    [bbe]  Now if he has a son who sees all his father's sins which he has done, and in fear does not do the same:
18:15 [hgb]  未 曾 在 山 上 吃 过 祭 偶 像 之 物 ， 未 曾 仰 望 以 色 列 家 的 偶 像 ， 未 曾 玷 污 邻 舍 的 妻 ，
    [kjv]  That hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, hath not defiled his neighbour's wife,
    [bbe]  Who has not taken the flesh with the blood for food, or given worship to the images of the children of Israel, and has not had connection with his neighbour's wife,
18:16 [hgb]  未 曾 亏 负 人 ， 未 曾 取 人 的 当 头 ， 未 曾 抢 夺 人 的 物 件 ， 却 将 食 物 给 饥 饿 的 人 吃 ， 将 衣 服 给 赤 身 的 人 穿 ，
    [kjv]  Neither hath oppressed any, hath not withholden the pledge, neither hath spoiled by violence, but hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment,
    [bbe]  Or done wrong to any, or taken anything from one in his debt, or taken goods by force, but has given food to him who was in need of it, and clothing to him who was without it;
18:17 [hgb]  缩 手 不 害 贫 穷 人 ， 未 曾 向 借 钱 的 弟 兄 取 利 ， 也 未 曾 向 借 粮 的 弟 兄 多 要 。 他 顺 从 我 的 典 章 ， 遵 行 我 的 律 例 ， 就 不 因 父 亲 的 罪 孽 死 亡 ， 定 要 存 活 。
    [kjv]  That hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.
    [bbe]  Who has kept his hand from evil-doing and has not taken interest or great profits, who has done my orders and been guided by my rules: he will certainly not be put to death for the evil-doing of his father; life will cer............
